Rocket City Throwing Club

Rocket City Throwing Club is a community of Highland Games athletes stretching from Arab, Alabama, into southern Tennessee. Our mission is to introduce more people to the exciting sport of Highland Games while building a welcoming community for athletes of all experience levels.

Many people think of the Highland Games as the "Scottish Olympics," but to us, they're much more than that. They represent tradition, camaraderie, and a shared passion for testing our strength and skill.

Our athletes train in the traditional Highland events, including throwing the 56-pound weight for distance and flipping the caber—a full tree—for accuracy. We also compete in several other classic throwing events that challenge both power and technique.

Whether you're looking to compete, stay active, or simply try something new, Rocket City Throwing Club welcomes everyone to come out, learn, and become part of our Highland Games family.
